Matty-J Custom Saltwater Flies

All flies are hand-tied by Captain Tommy Mattioli. These flies are tied using the highest quality of materials. They are extremely durable, and are tied on saltwater hooks. All heads and finish work are epoxy-coated. These are flies that are tied exclusively for a handful of fly fishing guides and a few fly shops in the Chesapeake Bay area.

Half and Half

The Half and Half is the favorite among many saltwater guides and anglers. This fly has proven itself over and over again, and is a must for any fly fishermen. Don't overlook this fly, if you are a largemouth bass fisherman. These flies have a very similar action to the "Pig & Jig". The quality of this fly when compared to flies tied over-seas is night and day. Each tie-in is glued and all heads and underwraps are coated with epoxy.

Matty-J Sand eel Flies

These flies are lethal when fish are feeding on sand eels. These patterns are shore-fire killers on big fish from the waters of Cape Cod to the shores of New Jersey. The black pattern has been deadly on the big fish when night fishing the Chesapeake Bay bridges.

Deceivers

The Deceiver is another great All-Purpose fly when fish are feeding on Bunker, Butterfish, Herring, Mullet and other baits. This fly has proven itself in so many various fishing conditions.

	Epoxy Silversides
	This is a small fly that packs a big punch. This fly will take finicky feeding fish that are keyed in on small Silversides, and has been doing a great job under the lights of Chesapeake Bay bridges. 	Epoxy Bay Anchovies

	Saltwater Poppers

Foam Baitfish

This is another top water bait that is a killer on False Albacore, Stripers, and any other game fish feeding on the surface. Don't rule out fishing this on a sinking line, as it creates incredible action when it begins to float up after the line is stripped. These flies have a durable epoxy finish.

Squid Fly

At one time or another, just about every saltwater fish has keyed in on squid as a food source. It is always a good idea to have some squid flies on hand. We have taken fish on the squid fly even when there are no signs of squid being around.

Jumbo Bunker Fly

This fly pattern is an excellent choice when fish are feeding on large baitfish such as Menhaden, Shad, Herring, Mackerel and Porgies. And here in the Chesapeake Bay, it is not uncommon to catch large Stripers, with these flies, that are loaded with Spot, Croaker or Grey Trout. These flies are tied with 3D eyes and have durable epoxy coated heads.

	Baby Bunker Fly
	This is the small bunker imitation of the baitfish with a wide profile such as baby Bunker, small Butterfish, small Porgies, small Spot and Croaker, small Snapper Blues, etc. Just like the Jumbos, these flies have 3D eyes and durable epoxy heads. Minnow Flies

These small flies are must-haves for all saltwater fly fisherman. These flies have accounted for countless species of saltwater and freshwater fish. Tied in this size are a good choice for Stripers, Reds, Grey and Speckled Trout, Croaker, False Albacore, Bonita, and others.
